I wrote a great review & it got eaten because some on already used the user name that I picked. In a nut shell easy navigation, adjustable fonts, holds you place and the best part it portable so I can study anywhere & look up verses I am discussing.

Very quick, pulls up and navigates instantly. Easy to navigate, tons of customization options (I recommend Baskerville font), and for just a couple bucks tons of notes and commentaries. Has the online ESV and several other translations offline. Just discovered the very nice notes system which sorts notes by chapter: very quick and easy way to take notes. Simple and lightweight, with no silly "social" features beyond basic sharing. Lightweight and looks great. Recent updates have indeed changed many things, and the developer (Paul) has worked his tail off to make a great looking app that is also easy to navigate. I truly believe he has done this with the most recent update, and the app continues to improve regularly. He updates it very often.

I have tried various Bible apps and this is the one I have stayed with. It is easy to navigate and offers a good selection of helps. The original language helps are in depth enough for sermon preparation. No regrets here!

Some verses were changed. This is not okay.

Access to many different Bible translations, commentaries, concordances, everything. Like visiting your Pastors office for reference material to answer a question, but its all in your hand, with your highlights, bookmarks and margin notes. You wont be sorry, get it and use it! Commentary on negative reviews as of 21 Feb 2016: I was surprised and saddened to see the poor reviews due to bugs in this latest release, most of which disappeared after the first week or so if you look at the dates. It seems to me that people who have used and loved the App for years, as I have, should have learned something of the virtue of patience and that the proper way to resolve an issue with someone, especially an old friend, is to talk to them rather than ditch them. In my book these behaviors translate to App Reviewing by doing things like hitting App Support instead of Write a Review to report a bug or to ask about a new feature (after reading the tutorial/release notes/etc) in a new release, and then giving him a few days. Sure you want to give an honest review, but wouldnt it be nicer to say, "Ive used it for years and love it. I use it for ....... This has a bug as of the last release but the author assured me it would be fixed soon. Or, "I preferred it when it worked this way .... But I talked to the author and he had many requests to change it this new way...... Still not my favorite." I guess my expectations are higher for reviews submitted about a Bible App, especially by people who claim to study it. If you read this far, thank you, God Bless, and do try the App!

This Bible application by Paul Avery is the best one Ive used yet. I have used this Bible since the iphone3 came out and havent switched to other apps since then. Only thing is, will the Douay-Rheims Version be added?

I use this Bible often, whether Im teaching a class, supporting some nurses on the floor who are attending to dying patients or talking with a patients family member re:a question about a favorite Bible verse. It comes in handy quite often.

A great app with free copies of the Hebrew and Greek bible. Wonderful layout, customizable options. Also has other classic versions like the Luther Bible. Go to manage bible and select "downloadable bibles." Thank you Paul Avery!

the daily reading calendar is buggy. - clicking on Calendar closes the program. started today. - you have to click on the day previous to cure the current days readings

Its easy to use and very very helpful in the study of the bible! Highly recommend it!

This app is extremely user friendly. I love the highlight, underline and bookmark features. The ease of locating and moving from book to book and scripture to scripture is great. Try it, youll like it

the best feature 4 me is COPY (to paste somewhere else). its the only bible app that allows that

There is no way to get to your "daily reading" schedule with the new update. Please fix or explain. I have emailed 3 times since 2/29/16. The daily reading does not match the full year calendar. Please fix.

I give this update a three because my downloaded versions went away and when I tried to redownload then my app kept crashing. Had to delete and reinstall and lost all my notes. My heart is broken right now.

This is the best bible app that I found. It has lest click for navigation. The current version with menu button is very good. I wish could buy NIV version or ESV version through the interface.

Love this app. Use it all the time. Use it for all my Bible study. I use the calendar to help me to read the Bible through every year.

Of all the Bible apps I have tried and more often than not, endured, Pauls is the cleanest, most streamlined, least cluttered with "fluff" and most user friendly and intuitive. It has been my go-to app and every time I review new Bible apps I reminded all over again that simple is best and this app does everything I need and want it to do for me.

I love this! I can choose a plan, find a verse in different versions & it will read it to me. Wonderful!

I have used it with English Russian bibles that come for free plus some additional study resources. Very good app. Simple handy intuitive.
